A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
Welcome, my name is Peri and I am a psychotherapist and counsellor providing both short-term and long-term therapy to adults in Horsforth, Leeds or online.
I am warm, calm and compassionate. Clients have told me I am easy to trust and feel comfortable to share things they have never told people before.
Are you feeling anxious, stuck, not good enough or really down? Are you unsure of what is bothering you or are you not sure where to start? Life is rarely straightforward, it brings many challenges, and it is understandable that at times we might look for support in facing them. I can help. My role is to provide space and guidance to help you on your journey of self-discovery; to enable you to examine your life and make new, meaningful choices within it.
I am warm, calm and compassionate. I offer a place where you will be accepted as you are, where you can reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a confidential environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore the issues you are facing in a way that leads to fresh perspectives, drawing from my experience we can find out what works best for you. Therapy isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes.
I work with adults aged 18 and over, from all walks of life and backgrounds, coming to me with a diverse range of problems. Including stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-esteem issues, loneliness and relationship issues. As a fully-qualified, experienced therapist I fully committed to being the best I can and am a registered member of the UK Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and and accredited member British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by their code of ethics, which underpins all my work, with my client's wellbeing at the centre.
I am passionate about the work I do and will accept you just as you are. Counselling takes place in a safe space, where you can meet with someone who will listen with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely and in confidence.
Trouble with relationships; self esteem and confidence; anxiety or panic attacks; mood swings or depression - many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
Working together I can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand your existing patterns, why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make different, better and healthier choices moving forward.

I work from Align Healthcare, located on Town Street, Horsforth, North Leeds (next door to the old 'Orchard Therapy Centre'). Accessible from both Leeds and Bradford. This is a comfortable, calm setting where you will receive a warm welcome in a safe place. I will provide location details when we arrange our counselling sessions.
In addition to providing face-to-face therapy, I also offer telephone counselling and online sessions for clients in the UK and overseas via Zoom. Contact me to find out more about how online therapy works.
Sessions last 50 minutes, usually taking place on a weekly basis, and cost £55 per session. Contact me to enquire about availability.
Please note that if you want to cancel an appointment I require 24 hours’ notice; otherwise you will still need to pay for any sessions missed. I accept payment in cash, by cheque or by bank transfer. I have a card reader in the room if you prefer to pay by card.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to book a free 20 minute introductory chat face to face, on Zoom or on the telephone; or book a first session. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
You can also call me on 07484 635501 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.
All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential.
